I’m Fiona.
With over three decades of experience in spiritual psychology, mindfulness training, coaching, teaching, and parenting, I continue to be intrigued by our capacity for love and compassion. There is so much beyond our control, but my experience tells me that with commitment and intention, we can develop our understanding of ourselves and lead meaningful, rewarding lives. We can befriend our psychological suffering and use it to find greater connection and empathy for ourselves and each other.
I am a third culture person, having been born in one country and raised in another. I see the world through the eyes of a woman who is a daughter, wife, and mother. Like so many others, I have faced and overcome debilitating depression, lost one marriage and been challenged in another, shepherded children through learning issues, and walked the path of loss and grief. I hope that by openly sharing my journey through writing and coaching, I might encourage others to be courageously vulnerable, let go of self-judgment and awaken joy.
Trained by the Coactive Training Institute and certified by the International Coaching Federation, I received an MA in Psychology and Religion from Andover Newton Seminary and have completed spiritual/psychological training at the University of Santa Monica. I am a graduate of the Hoffman Institute’s Quadrinity Process and collaborated in creating the Educational Initiative at the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind/Body Medicine.
When we are no longer able to change a situation -
we are challenged to change ourselves.– Victor Frankl
